EOC wins 5th place in Top Employers Award
Tuesday 3 Mar 2009

Elective Orthopaedic Centre wins 5th place in national top employer’s award The Elective Orthopaedic Centre (EOC) is delighted to have won 5th place in the prestigious Healthcare 100 top UK employers by the Health Service Journal and Nursing Times.

This award is the healthcare sector HR award and is open to all healthcare organisations across the UK from GP surgeries, primary care trusts to hospitals large and small. To be rated as the second top NHS Employer the EOC had to pass a vigorous selection process of Ipsos Mori staff surveys, site visits and staff interviews.

The EOC is very proud to be recognised in the same list as other organisations such as the Royal Marsden and University College Hospital London hospitals. EOC staff and winners of their employee of the year award collected their certificate at a special Awards luncheon at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday 2nd March. Director of the EOC Brian Wells says “This is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the team who provide a great service for our patients. We knew we had made the Top 100 but were totally stunned to be rated fifth. We’re such a new organisation and just didn’t expect to achieve this level of recognition so early in our development. That said the EOC is a fantastic place to work, for all of us. It’s small and focussed, but packs a punch.

We’re very proud of our staff who are the EOC.” Samantha Jones, Chief Executive of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust said: “This is excellent news for the EOC and for all its staff and volunteers. The EOC is a very successful organisation and we are proud to be its host organisation and to have them on the Epsom Hospital site.”

EOC staff celebrate the good news!
