Charlotte Gaynor GP Liaison Manager
Charlotte joined SWLEOC in August 2011 where she worked as Interim Assistant service Manager for one year until taking her current role as GP Liaison Manager.
Charlotte has worked within the NHS since 2008 and has gained a lot of experience in various NHS organisations, which include Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Charlotte works closely with both clinical and non-clinical staff in promoting and supporting the quality of services to patients, visitors and staff.
By establishing a new GP Liaison Service, Charlotte has been able to maintain and develop relationships with SWLEOC’s Primary Care Partners to ensure a quality driven, seamless patient pathway from primary to secondary care and back to primary care.
As well as implementing the SWLEOC’s engagement strategy and supporting the development of service improvements initiatives, Charlotte has recently established a Patient Forum Group which provides an opportunity for patients to provide SWLEOC with feedback and ideas that they may have for improving patient care. By reviewing and monitoring progress within SWLEOC(such as the newly implemented ‘friends and family’ test) Charlotte, along with the whole team, can make enhancements solely around patient choice.
Particular attention is being focussed on the changes proposed by the government, to ensure that the SWLEOC remains a centre of excellence as a leading hip and knee replacement centre and provider of choice.
