There was a launch of new Governance hot boards in all staff areas which display learning from complaints and incidents. Although incidents are rare, when they do occur, it gives us an opportunity to implement changes which will improve patient care. The week was crucial to embedding an understanding that Governance is everyone's business and responsibility.
As part of this Governance awareness week, we spoke to staff about behaviours that they would like to see in colleagues when they come to work. This is going to help shape the Centre's values that all staff will sign up to.
Feedback from staff about the Governance awareness week has been positive and this is something that will take place regularly.
