Robbie Ray graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 2006 and completed specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery on the Edinburgh rotation.
He complemented this with specialist fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery in Sydney, Australia and Toronto, Canada and trauma surgery at the Ganga institute in India. Robbie was given the British foot and ankle society’s gold award for his international fellowships.
Robbie is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at St Georges Hospital, Tooting. His elective practice is dedicated solely to foot and ankle surgery. He also performs trauma surgery including the management of complex trauma of the foot and ankle.
He was accepted into the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSed) by examination in 2015. He subsequently accepted into the Fellowship of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Trauma (FEBOT) by examination.
During his training, Robbie completed a Masters of Surgery in Trauma and Orthopaedics(ChM) with distinction through the University of Edinburgh and was subsequently invited to tutor on the programme.
His research interests include trauma surgery and foot and ankle surgery. He has published peer reviewed research articles and has presented his work internationally.
