Your Opinion Matters to SWLEOC
Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) is a framework that was introduced by the Department of Health in 2009 to give healthcare providers financial incentives to challenge and improve the quality of services they provide.
A percentage of contract income is based upon the performance of the NHS organisation. Therefore, if the organisation meets the set targets and improves patient experience by raising the level of standards and care, it will receive the additional contract income. Essentially, this is a programme to improve patient quality and to reward excellence.
Previous experience can show that CQUIN is a valued tool to help improve service and care. SWLEOC is proud to say that it has achieved all the targets set, which has led to significant improvements in patient care and enabled us to develop more robust processes.
