Lead Clinician for Orthopaedics

Mr. Adhikari trained in orthopaedics on the North-east Thames Registrars training rotation. He worked as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Kings College Hospital and University Hospital Lewisham for four years before moving to St. Helier Hospital in 1992 to help set up SWLEOC.

His main interest is in Knee Surgery including joint replacements and sports injuries. He has pioneered the use of Computer Navigation and Robotics in orthopaedic surgery in the UK and has set up a training programme at SWLEOC for surgeons from the UK and abroad to learn the technique.

Mr Adhikari is also involved in cartilage research and cartilage transplant techniques.  He is currently the lead clinician for orthopaedics at St. Helier Hospital.
