Mr Khabab Osman

Mr Osman is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip and knee joint replacement surgery ranging from routine primary procedures to complex revision procedures. He offers hip replacement surgery tailored to each individual patient by utilising a range of implants and approaches (including the direct anterior approach, anterolateral approach and posterior approach) most suited to their needs aiming for early recovery, longevity and avoidance of major complications in all cases.
He graduated from University College London medical school in 2008 and went on to complete a Masters in Surgical Sciences at the same institution in 2012. He completed his higher surgical training in the West Midlands Deanery (Birmingham) and went on to complete multiple well-renowned competitive fellowship programs including the ‘Bone Infection and Major Revision Surgery Fellowship’ at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (Birmingham), the prestigious ‘Hip & Knee Arthroplasty Reconstruction Fellowship’ at Sunnybrook Holland Centre (Toronto, Canada) and the ‘Junior Clinical & Research Fellowship’ at University College London Hospital.
Mr Osman has maintained a strong research portfolio and has published over 20 journal articles and over 30 national & international conference presentations articles on a range of subjects in orthopaedic surgery. He was a founding member and instrumental in the development of the ‘Birmingham Orthopaedic Network for Research & Education and served as the secretary for 5 years during his training. He continuous to develop his research interests with the ultimate aim of improving outcomes for patients undergoing hip and knee replacements.
