Personal Details
Mr. Asopa was born and raised in Southampton. He was educated at King Edward VI School. He is a family man and is a keen runner and enjoys skiing and snowboarding.
 
Vipin qualified from the University of Bristol in August 1998 and completed basic surgical training on the Hammersmith Hospital Basic Surgical Rotation. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002 and England in 2003, and became fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in trauma and orthopaedics in 2011. He completed his specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics on the Imperial College North West Thames rotation in April 2014. 
 
Specialist Fellowship Training
In 2011 Vipin completed a sports surgery and lower limb arthroplasty fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, and specialist hip arthroscopy and arthroplasty training in Royal Berkshire Hospital. He also undertook a specialist trauma fellowship in Vienna. 
 
Current Consultant Position
Vipin has been a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at North Middlesex University Hospital since November 2014. He moved in September 2019 to South West London elective Orthopaedic Centre to specialise in Hip and Knee surgery. Vipin is involved in the design and overseeing of research projects. He has a PhD in articular cartilage biology.
