Mr Zaid Abu Al-Rub is a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee and Trauma Surgeon at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.   • Sports knee injuries – ACL, PCL, MCL and multi-ligament reconstruction
  • Meniscal injuries – arthroscopic meniscal repair and meniscal transplantation

  • Knee malalignment – osteotomy and realignment surgery to preserve the natural joint or treat instability

After completing a competitive national training programme in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Mr Abu Al-Rub achieved his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) from the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery. He subsequently undertook a series of prestigious post-CCT fellowships in comprehensive knee surgery across leading UK centres — Leeds, Harrogate, Coventry, and Oxford (Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre) — gaining advanced subspecialist experience in soft-tissue knee reconstruction, cartilage restoration, meniscal transplantation, osteotomy, and knee arthroplasty using conventional, computer, and robot-assisted techniques.

Mr Abu Al-Rub has performed nearly 4,000 orthopaedic & trauma procedures, including more than 1,500 specialist knee operations, and has presented his research internationally at BASKEFORT, and the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. His academic contributions include peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and ongoing work integrating clinical research with innovation in patient care and service improvement.
